I am an artist, designer and community tutor working in a wide range of media from painting, drawing and printmaking, to collage, weaving and embroidery. My artwork allows me to be free and express myself, and my teaching is so inspiring, as I love seeing how my students can push ideas in new directions.

Ever since childhood I have spent my time being creative – drawing, painting and creating textile pieces to adorn myself and my home. Over the years I have studied both Fine Art and textiles, and have a BA(Hons) 2:1 degree in Fine Art, and a HNC Distinction in Fine Art Textiles.

My paintings, drawings and prints are inspired by characters from myths, fairytales and folklore, and a desire to create magical landscapes in which my imagination can travel. I also create designs for a variety of different projects including fine art and greetings cards, invitations, notelets and notepaper. My textile creations adorn the real world – creating hangings, blankets and cushions for our homes, and clothes, bags and hats for myself, family and friends, in a hope to make my days more magical.

If you are interested in a commission of any kind, then please contact me. I create commissions in any of the areas I work in - from paintings, invitation designs, clothing, hats and shawls. No request is too unusual as I love a challenge. One of my commissions was to create a Euthanasia reaper outfit for artist Linda Hart to wear to her son’s wedding. Upon discussion with Linda, I created hand painted silk panels inspired by cells undergoing life and death, which I sewed onto clothes that I had made. The end result was amazing, and Linda has worn this outfit at the wedding, and several other events and even an award ceremony.
